The Alhambra in Granada
These were taken back in 2004 on a day trip we took to Granada to see the sights. The Alhambra is a Moorish palace and is a spectacular place to visit. These photos were all taken with a dinky little digital camera so the quality may not be the absolute best.
This is a truly amazing place to visit - especially after spending time on the Costa Del Sol. It is beautiful drive up into the mountains. We visited in March after a week of torrential rain and the city was fresh after the rain. I have no idea what it is like in the summer when there might be droves of tourists about.

Some decorative details on a support column. |
The decoration on this is supposed to be something to with an Islamic ban on representing living things |
Again, more highly decorative plasterwork. |

This was beautifully peaceful. Very quiet. |
Something to keep the rain off I suppose |
This demonstrated some of the more military aspects of the palace |
